The flying fish story.
This was only the 2nd time that Tim fly fished since he was a mere child of 8. He made up for lost time by landing too many fish to count and more than 5 of his fish were over 6 lbs. Quite a day. Even his guide, Tom Whitley from Hagen Outdoors, was impressed. It takes a lot to impress Tom.
We continue to experience high, gin clear water from tunnel releases. Most of the fishing/landing is being done in the Oxbow. The huge fish have just continued to pile in there. Many fish are taking surface bugs but it varies day to day. Your guide will have the correct flies. If you can make a decent drift you are nearly guaranteed to hook up with a 5lb or larger trout.
