WE have had open water since 12-02-07 when warm water from Roberts Tunnel melted all of the ice that formed in November.
The fishing has been excellent as evidenced by this 25 inch 8lb monster Rainbow landed by Jason Smoker and his friend William Gullim.
These guys fished in miserable weather...0F and 40-50mph winds but managed to land about 25 trout. Their guide, Tom Whitley, deserves plenty of credit for selecting just the perfect flies, including some dry patterns at 2:00pm that really caught most of the fish.
There are still some days left to book in Jan. and Feb. We are on Winter rates until 4-1-08. Book a day and wind up landing a fish like this one.
We are located just a scenic 60 minute drive from Denver on Hwy. 285. You will be fishing for huge trout, on a private ranch, with some of the best guides in Colorado and your group will be the only anglers on the River.
