What a day.
Eighteen anglers, 7 guides, and other guests enjoyed an outing at Boxwood Gulch complete with a Cajun Boil, provided by John Hagen Outdoors and his trusty staff of superb guides.....and cooks.
I missed it due to a fishing trip to Lake Michigan.
The entire month of July provided great fishing with some fish landed nearly as large as the one Dillon Maddox caught. This fish is about 8-9 lbs. I think Devon Maddox, his brother, netted the fish, and dad, Dale, took the photo.
We had water at all different levels from high to low but always quite clear. The fish were hitting just about anything that hit the water.There was plenty of dry fly action all month. Your Boxwood guide will have the correct flies for the day you are here.
We are located just a scenic 60 minute drive from Denver on Hwy. 285. You will be fishing for huge trout, on a private ranch, with some of the best guides in Colorado and your group will be the only anglers on the River.
