The following will give you a flavor of what you can expect on a typical winter fishing trip at Boxwood Gulch. This information comes directly from Trip Reports which the guides fill out after each trip.
11-2-05, 3 anglers, 26 fish landed, 24 inch CutThroat. 11-03-05, 4 anglers, 50 landed, 28 inch Bow. 11-5-05, 2 anglers, 60+ landed, many 6 lb+ fish landed. 11-13-05 Long Meadow Section, 2 anglers, 53 landed, 22 inch Bow. 11-20-05, 2 anglers, 35-40 landed, 5-6 lb CutBow. 11-18-05, 1 angler, 30 landed, 23 inch CutBow and many 20"+ fish landed in the morning.
The above is representative of winter fishing at Boxwood Gulch.I know it sounds like some exotic destination 2 travel days away but it's not...It's right here At Boxwood Gulch in Shawnee, Colorado.
The fish will be getting almost a 2 month vacation starting in December. We will only be booking a few trips in December and January...maybe you can be on one of them?
We are located just a scenic 60 minute drive from Denver on Hwy. 285. You will be fishing for huge trout, on a private ranch, with some of the best guides in Colorado and your group will be the only anglers on the River.
